If you where using AmiMUD 2.x look at the guide to see what's new (a lot
of stuff).
From 3.0b7 there are a lot of news, expecially features requested by users,
look at the guide to see what's new!
Remember that AmiMUD it's shareware and it's developments depends from the
amount of peoples that register it!
Upgrade from v2.x:
------------------
Some of the default settings are changed, you need to create a directory
called "output/" in the directory where you keep amimud and put the output
modules into this directory, by default AmiMUD uses the new output module,
it supports Ansi 16. To use the old console you need to add to your configuration
the line:
module=output/console
To enable ANSI 16 (suggested) put the keyword:
ansi16
...in your configuration.
Since the new output module is optimized BOTH for planar graphics and graphic boards
interleaved is now disabled by default.
You can find more information about the new configuration keywords also in the
demo configuration.
ANSI 16 should be fairly quick on any AGA machine, obviously with a Gfx board it's
better. To set correctly the pens with ANSI 16 you need to use a 32 color screen.
